Trip starts before departure
Travel, what a passion! Every trip is an adventure full of facets and emotions that in some ways begin long before the actual departure.
The traveller begins his journey already when he buys the ticket, prepares the luggage and walks towards the airport or the station. Each pre-vige stage is marked by a dense network of sensations and small rituals that make the imminent start even more exciting.
Surely it is so for me, that I live every trip as a unique experience and that of "magical" stages I've spotted at least four!
1. The reservation
Once the goal is decided, it is only necessary to book the ticket and turn the dream into reality: the search on the internet, the hunt for the best offer, the race to the ticket last minute up to that magical, celestial phrase "Your reservation has been confirmed."
All this for me is pure magic. When I confirm the payment I feel already beating my heart and my eyes shine like never before when I open mail of confirmation. When I sign the dates on the calendar somehow for me the journey has already begun. I already begin to imagine the places, to taste the flavors and colors of my new adventure waiting for the next stages that separate me from the departure.

2. The itinerary
The destination we have, the ticket and the accommodation too. It is time to think about the places we would like to explore!
There are those who plan the route in detail, those who limit themselves to the last minute or those who go completely to adventure, without organizing anything. I'm part of that "through" that likes to prepare a wish list and a flexible itinerary that leaves room for pleasant unexpected. Among museums and gardens to visit, neighborhoods in which to get lost and new food to taste, with imagination we are already on the road.
But look not to draw up an agenda too rigid, we are not in the office! Leaving a little margin to spontaneity and surprise we could find ourselves in wonderful places that were not at all in our schedule.

3. Packing preparation
Ticket, passport, charger and bathroom set, all strictly framed as a tetris... luggage is our loyal travel companion and, according to how it is prepared, can say much of us. There are those who travel light with bag or backpack, those who are dull of timing and prepare the suitcase days before, those who are reduced a few hours before the trip. Travelers are all different as well as different will be their luggage.
Each item in the suitcase is the same part of our journey. From the camera to immortalize the most beautiful memories to the hiking shoes, each element in his little one will accompany us day in our periplo.
That's why our baggage has its own because and deserves to be prepared with care. And these days, we don't forget to pack hydro-alcoholic gel and mask!

4. The day of departure
After minucious pre-vige rituals and a more or less sleepless night, the long-awaited moment has arrived: we leave!
The day of departure is the moment when all the emotions of the traveller are thickened and the feeling of waiting disappears to leave room for curiosity, joy and excitement for the journey. The alarm clock sounds early, the suitcase is ready at the entrance, the boarding pass printed and the rush to get out of the house unstoppable: sensations for nothing stranger to a traveller.
On the day of departure we ensure that we are not late, that we have locked the door, that we have not forgotten anything. For some of us there will be some anxiety, but as soon as we cross the threshold of the airport, anxiety and waiting finally cancel.
We are thrilled with little, scrutinising the destinations on the board and dragging our trolley while crossing the long corridors. We smile open, we smile for nothing. That aircraft we are about to embark on is and will remain one of the most beautiful things for us ever.
Is it gonna sound weird for you to move on these things? The fantastic thing about travelers is that nothing is "strange" for them, but only new and everything to discover.
Have you ever thought about your pre-starting moments? To the emotions you experience before a trip? Do not hesitate to leave a comment to share them with me. Meanwhile, I'll pack my suitcase for the next adventure.
Have a good trip!
